Finally buying a house instead of a condo, what tech should I get?

Thinking for the first time of hitting up some stores on BF as I'm in escrow on a SFH and hoping to score great deals. Obviously, prefer to order online and maybe Monday will be better for some?
I have an Echo and a Dot. I was also given a Google Home at a company party but will likely sell it unless there's something I could use it for Echo doesn't do? I have Fire TV ad Roku 3. I have Harmony Hub. I have iPad, PC, iPhone, and Android phone. I have August Smart Lock as well.
Won't need a thermostat since I'll have split AC, no heating.
I want to get some cameras, what brands and setups do you guys recommend?
It's a big house with 2 rentals on the first floor so I'll be wanting to probably do some sort of Wi-Fi for everyone to use as I can get fiber. Brands, technology that I should be looking at?
Lights? Interior and exterior. Should I just do solar exterior lights? I do want motion detection though.
It's open beam ceiling so I won't be able to do in ceiling speakers like I have for my back 2 surround now so thinking of ways to set up a HT.
Anything else you'd do if you were sort of starting from scratch? The reason I say that is the house is single wall and I will be doing double wall so I'd like to put my cables, etc in now.

You in NOLA? If so I would get Crimetek to come out and give you an estimate on cameras and they can also help with wireing up the house. I’m in the same boat as you almost and just did that plus Lutron lights and smart locks. All controlled on the phone. I bought some outlets with double usb and double three prong from Amazon that were highly rated in some area.

I'm also in this boat. I'd like to know everyone's thoughts on the best smarthome products for the money. Also can't decide on Smartthings, Harmony Hub or Wink Hub2.

Since you will have 3 "groups" of people accessing your internet, I would look into something with a vlan to keep each rental separate from your network. I've never set up a vlan, so you'll want to get more advice on how to do it, but possibly get a Unifi Security Gateway, a managed switch, and Unifi access points.
