My thoughts are since Brees has been here we drafted a 3rd and 7th round QB and that's it. We've invested almost no capital (the third was a decent investment but the 7th was a flyer) in bringing someone in to actually take his place.
This was the first year we heavily considered taking a first round QB. If you aren't taking a first or early second round QB you aren't really looking for a replacement.
VERY few QBs after the second round ever do anything in the league.

Very few qbs do shite in the league period. That's why I really don't care about drafting a QB before Brees leaves. Everyone wants to bring up Rodgers favre but that's like the only time ever it worked. Most qbs come into the league and start very early in their career and show what they are made of. Virtually none sit as a backup for a few years and then start and play well.
