95% of what makes Brees a HOF QB is his film study and preparation. Everything I have heard about him and his relationship with Chase is that they are on the same page with that. So no, if the Saints grab a young QB I am sure he will take him under his wing.

If you read his book and his comments over the years this is not correct.
He won't kick them out of the nest but he has made clear its not his job to make someone better able to fly and take his job.
He learned this from the pro QB's.

I literally watched a Feb '17 Dan Patrick/Brees interview yesterday and it was revealed that Brees sees a lot of various NFL QB's during the off-season at the same training facility in San Diego.
Patrick asked Brees if they share info (QB secrets/play design/beating defenses etc...) and Brees said despite personal friendships, he only discusses general ideas or training techniques.
Brees said most vets keep football secrets close to the vest to maintain a competitive advantage.
Now I know that was said in reference to colleagues, not teammates, but me thinks this competition junkie holds back some secrets from the backups du jour.
