For reference, how does this compare to the CFA exam? I assume all of these concepts show up on L2 or L3?

I took the Level 1 when I was still living in New Orleans, and then I kinda drifted away and went into a more rigorously quantitative route. I actually registered to take Level 2, but then I got a job as a quant model developer at a major bank, and just left all that CFA stuff behind.

But then I moved to New York, and last year I became...

... and, man, I am stressed out and pushed to my limits every week. I question how long I can survive in this world. I don't think it's this way for everyone, but I just happened to get roped into working for a really difficult banking client--so I can't imagine anyone doing what I'm doing with a family or kids. I can't complain though, because yeah, it does pay well.

Some do but not all of them. Like many designations, CFA covers lots of ground but less deeply.
