In college football, have a tall walk on basketball player type with a large vertical leap (former LSU basketball player Chris Johnson who is 6’11 comes to mind) come on to the field only to block extra points and field goals. Even if you can’t block every kick, it would greatly affect the psyche of the kicker. Obviously this would not work in NFL due to the 53 man roster restriction.

We had a 7’2 sophomore at my high school when I was a senior. They lined him up on field goal blocks right in front of the center and told him to wave his arms really high in the air. He had zero athletic ability so he wasn’t going to actually jump up and block it.

This one kicker looked at him and then looked at his coach and yelled loud and clear, “What the frick do I do?”

His coach told him to kick the field goal.

He nailed our 7’2 monster right in the face mask.
