I bought my kid a '17 GT California Special last year. It's a nice looking car, but despite the 435 hp, it feels slow compared to the Vette I had. Granted, it's an auto and I haven't put it in tack mode, just shift into sport mode occasionally. Rear end feels loose when you get on it also, though I haven't put it on the track yet. I'm a diehard for manual, but for the kid the auto trans is one less thing for him to think about while driving.

On a positive note, the automatic transmission will ensure that your child will be able to easily text and drive his (her?) 435 HP Mustang GT that gets 'loose' when you 'get on it.'

Thanks for the additional road hazard.
