Teams from the OP went 1-1 last night.

ULL beat LA College 113-58. PJ Hardy led the Cajuns with 19 points. The Cajuns improve to 1-1 on the season.

Nicholls lost to Villanova 77-113. The Colonels got a 25 point effort out of guard Zaquavian Smith but it wasn't enough. Nicholls drops to 1-1 this year.

There are two games involving state schools tonight. Northwestern State heads to SMU and Southern is on the road as well against Missouri State.

Last night wasn't a good one as both schools in action suffered losses.

Northwestern State had a rough night as they lost 35-81 to SMU. They were led by Iziahiah Sweeney who had 9 points as no Demon player reached double figure scoring. Northwestern State drops to 0-3 this season.

Southern lost to Missouri State 58-86. The Jags leading scorer was Brendon Ganaway who scored 11 points off the bench. Southern is now 0-3 on the season.
