If we're talking about closing the gap, yeah we need top 5 classes. Hell that was Orgeron's entire appeal.

LSU will have a Top 12 to 15 class if things line up just right. There isn't a heck of a lot of difference between 6 and 15, to be honest and that's good enough if it fills needs.
I say that because of how good the 2017 class appears to be now that we've seen many of them play, and how good 2019 will be - could end up being a Top 5 all time LSU recruiting class.

There's a lot of other reasons to like him. I like the way the team has played with such intensity lately under him. Also the way the offense has opened up in regards to being much more unpredictable and less straight forward even going back to last year. Lot of good things since he took over, though some stumbles as might be expected with a new regime.
