Dude, they had the ball at MArshall 45, 3 straight runs up the gut by QB, and it's over. That 15 seconds would of been wasted by people getting off the pile, spotting the ball,etc.

It was beyond stupid.

It was 30 seconds ... They got the ball back with 2:30 left. It wasn't a sure thing they'd be able to run the clock down all the way to zero. Plus, what other explanation is there other than the conspiracy theories being thrown around in this thread? He had to have thought it was the safer option.
