the obvious problem being violence as the motivating/unifying force as opposed to cogent theology. as i said elsewhere, islam is not organic today. most muslims in the world are not muslim by choice nor do they have freedom to learn about religion.

very well said. mohammed wasn't well informed regarding religion due to the pseudo christians/jews he had met up to that point and let's be honest, his "visions" were kooky. most everyone could see that and his movement started to fade so, he turned to violence. the real hero of islam is Khadija. if it weren't for her...
