I defend Trump for 1 main reason

Progressives/Democrats start the fight or rhetoric every almost all the time, and someone needs to push back and expose their deeds. Trump fights back, he seldom starts a fight out of the blue, it's usually a response when you hear from him
You hear people say Trump is divisive, I say Progressives and their aggressive agenda are divisive.
The Florida Congresswoman for example started this unfortunate political football over a dead soldier. He has happens to be black...how convenient, huh?
But wow, the Congresswoman went there...so I will defend the President...because I know his intention to call a widow was sincere...but this woman expects the worse from Trump, so I find myself defending because I feel racism and hate should be confronted and rooted out and exposed...
My wife asked "why do you have to pick a side all the time?"
I said, "because there has to be root somewhere that should be pulled up so it can't grow anymore"
I don't know, I just like to argue and challenge my thinking to see if I am off base.
Trump should have not called the NFL players who were kneeling SOB's...
He was wrong to do that, but right about the issue...round and round we go

I heard a woman called in to WWL today saying Trump is completey inappropriate.

Who better to do that than Trump? Nobody else can convince them that what they’re doing is wrong.
He was the only one with the gravitas to manage having them all stand to support the flag/country when millions are watching.

Trump was set-up by the widow and the "empty-barrel" congresswoman. How? Presidents don't just call out of the blue, and in this case the widow was called the day before to arrange for the call to be received by the widow if she was willing. What does she do? She gets the dumb "empty barrel" to listen in on the call and then they make up their dumb story to try to embarass the president. This thing is pure politics all the way.

he's still an idiot for continuing to battle a dead soldier's widow on twitter. he could have easily diffused the (((setup))) and come out like a champ by saying something like "i understand that this is a difficult time for the family and no matter how my words may have been perceived i and all citizens appreciate sgt johnson's service and sacrifice for his country"

There was no set up. The family was on the way to the airport to meet the body and the congresswoman was there because she was a friend of the family and had known La David Johnson since he was young. Johnson had been in the 5000 Role Models of Excellence Program that Congresswoman Wilson started when she was an elementary school principal in the 90's.
And Wilson didn't listen in on the phone. The call was put on a speaker phone in the car they were all riding in.
