I've got a 2.5 gal pot that's been sitting in the shed for years and I'm sure it has probably picked up some bad flavors. What's the best way to go about re-seasoning?
Make a big fire. Clean off big chunks of debris and rust with a stiff brush. Throw pot in big fire. Let fire burn off debris for a couple hours.
Once pot is cool, follow traditional seasoning methods in the oven.
