It is definitely a complex scenario. I think the protests made many people step back and ask if they really wanted to support this and then they probably realized how much money and time they wasted on overpaid brats and thought there might be a better way to spend their time and money regardless of the protests.

Not really that complex. Had Trump stayed out of it, like a normal President would have, this would have already passed.

But since Trump got involved, it forced many of his disciples to "take a side" on what was an irrelevant distraction otherwise.
