I mentioned this in the thread on the PT board. It will be a disaster for the GOP in 2018 as Dems would take this one single talking point and use it to recapture white, middle class voters who get shafted by the GOP congress giving corporations a tax break and taking away retirement planning from middle American tax payers.

Not to mention, it would have huge ramifications for the economy and interest rates. The current economy is floating on the sea of cash ($17-20 trillion) in retirement accounts. If the rate of savings gets reduced, then the money supply will tighten and interest rates will rise, taking the economy down a few notches.
