Horror/scary is very subjective. I didn’t think Blair Witch was that scary but I get why many liked it. And this year I didn’t think IT was scary at all but many did. It’s just one of those things where there’s no right or wrong answer
But if you can’t understand why The Shining, Psycho, Halloween, etc. are at the top then idk what to tell you

I understand why they are at the top. I enjoy the movies, and agree they are incredibly well written/directed/acted etc.
They just don't scare me, so they're not my top horror movies.
