This is the 2nd time this has happened with my 6 plus. The 1st time Apple sent me a new phone free even though warranty was out. At 1st I thought it was the updates messing my phone up but there is flickering at the top of my phone and the screen becomes unresponsive for a period of time. I just finished paying the damn thing off and was going to keep it for another year but I'm thinking of just getting a new one. I usually keep the phone in my front pocket so I'm wondering if there is some stress on it that is causing the problem.

I have a macbook pro and that has me leaning iPhone 8 because of the compatibility but I'm wondering if it's not worth going with a different brand? It really pisses me off because i'm a cheap bastard and hate spending money.

Just looking for suggestions on what is the best deals.

Called several places and they say they will have to send it in and the screen cost is $150. I'm trying to weigh that cost with replacing it next year. I'll probably end up going that route even though i'll be without my phone several days. Work will just have to understand and get over it since they don't pay me anything for it anyway.

Shattered the screen on my 6 couple weeks back and I too was debating fixing old phone or shelling out the coin for the new 8. So I had the screen replaced for $109. Ever since then its been acting up. It will mute calls randomly, face time people even though Im on Bluetooth in my truck. This morning I was dialing a number and it wasn't dialing the numbers I was pushing. called the wrong number 3 times before I realized what was going on

Moral of the story.... buy a new phone instead if fixing the broken one.

sorry i just realized you're in a smaller town.

there's a place here in nashville called ijunkiez next to a gyro place. they always have groupons for $75 screen repair but honestly if you just walk in and tell them they'll honor that price without having to jump through the groupon hoop..i think they actually save money by not honoring a groupon for that price anyway.

at any rate, i go next door, eat a gyro, then when i'm done they're done.

phone always looks perfect. for some reason my wife CANNOT keep from breaking her iphone screens. i literally haven't broken a screen on the last 3 phones i've owned by i bet between her and my daughter i've replaced the glass on their ihpones at least 6x

I don't know if this was directed at me, but I didn't say there weren't places that fix iPhones. I said I called several and they all said they had to send it off and it was around $150.

My question is it worth getting fixed and having the same thing happen down the road since this is a know problem with the iPhone 6 plus. I was also asking wether or not another brand of phone would be better.

the two middle eastern dudes at ijunkiez here are freaking artists. they can swap a screen out and it looks and acts better than new in 10 minutes.
