Let me propose something a little more plausible:
1) A termite colony near a remote Google server farm becomes self-aware;
2) They study humanity by intercepting internet traffic; 3) They learn about history, science, literature;
4) They come to believe Trump is an existential threat; 5) They feel compelled to overthrow humanity and install their queen as ruler of all.
