Disney would re-release their movies in the theaters for the next generation of kids.

I recall seeing a double feature of "Dumbo" (1941) and "The Legend of Lobo" (1962) in the 70s in a theater.

I also recall going to see Smokey and the Bandit in the theater after it had been run on network TV. Small town. What else you gonna do?
