I would like that option. If you're drafted, that's where you go, but if they go undrafted they should get the option to go to college or try the G-League as an UDFA

You enter the draft and are drafted. You can either sign or not. If you sign, you enter the NBA. If you don't, you must wait two years to re enter
Same with UDFA up to a certain date
