re: Painting bumpers and plastic grills on truck

I had it done on my truck, I bought an XL model front and rear bumpers($350) then had it painted and the painter scuffed and painted over my chrome grill. I then sold my chrome bumpers for $400, painter charged me $700, and I uninstalled/reinstalled everything. It's held up well in the ~5 years since I've had it done with the exceptions of a couple rock chips. Before committing to paint though see about having the parts vinyl wrapped instead.

I was just looking at vinyl wrapping while you guys were commenting. I saw a lot of DIY videos. Has anyone done it themselves?

I've gotten pretty good with an HVLP gun coating smallish metal parts. But, got dam 700 for two bumpers that are essentially long flat surfaces has me wondering about changing my business model. I charge $330 for most camo patterns on gun which takes 8 hours to complete mostly due to stencil layout time. Each coat of a one color bumper could be laid up easily in under 15 minutes, if that long. Base, base, clear 45 minutes max and dry time you could be doing other shite.
