Tremec developed a new 7 speed DCT that can be configured in AWD and RWD. I would assume they wouldn't develop this transmission without a car to put it in.

They bought the Belgium company that does DCTs for Ferrari etc instead of starting from the ground up and that is the tranny expected in the C8 but I did not know it was AWD capable. I thought electric front since that is the way hyper-cars have been going but they may not want to push the price that far.
