My wife (no pics) is wanting to start a website for her small art business so she can sell products through it. Neither of us have designed a website or have experience with coding, so looking for something user friendly that's got a good clean interface. We've looked at SquareSpace and heard good reviews, but figured I'd ask around. Anybody have recs on other domain hosting or tips for beginners? TIA

best website builder for small e-commerce beginners. there are cheaper options, but the cheaper you go the more you need to know.

I use namecheap for my domain name registration, and currently use ehost for my hosting. Most of the hosting companies offer the same, or similar website building packages.
I did a website for my HOA using Concrete5. Wordpress is probably the most popular, and has a lot of themes to choose from.
Is she wanting to do a full ecommerce site with shopping cart and checkout, or just to display her art with a phone number and email address to complete the purchase?

She's wanting to do sales through the site for simplicity's sake. The kicker is squarespace or PayPal would charge transaction fees. SquareSpace does have tier above the basic commerce that doesn't charge a fee, but I'd have to do some math and guessing as to which would be less costly.

shopify is pretty much the goat these days, its the apple/android have ecommerce. squarespace is not built for eccomerce so im not sure why its being recommended?
the most apps, best customer service, largest community, easy to use for beginners, cheapest credit card rates,
search youtube for videos of all your options. Shopify VS Squarespace Vs Wordpress etc etc
