The first change I would make: home qualifier venues

One of the worst stats of this qualification round was losing 2 games at home. The key to the Hex has always been "win at home, draw on the road" and we had not lost at home in a qualifier since 2001 to Honduras. We were 26W-2D-0L in home qualifiers before the loss to Mexico with the only draws coming after we had qualified to the next round.
We need to be smarter about where we play and make an effort to fill larger stadiums. When the cheapest ticket in the house is $40+ and we are playing in a stadium with less than 30,000 seats or tarping-off the upper deck, that means US Soccer is sacrificing a larger crowd for money.
I propose that every home qualifier be in a stadium over 50,000 seats and that all upper deck tickets be sold for $15 and the majority of lower bowl tickets for $25. They could also give away a few thousand seats to nearby college students.
For example, play Mexico in the Horseshoe instead of Columbus Crew stadium. Play Costa Rica in the Vikings stadium with the AC turned all the way up. Panama in Atlanta, Honduras in Seattle, T&T/Jamaica at FedEx Field or the Meadowlands

Thats literally one of the last things we should worry about. The venue has nothing to do with our results.

How about our gutless players play with some passion and do better than 11 points out of 18 on three teams we dwarf in every conceivable metric but heart before we start digging for excuses. There's enough easy ones to point to.

People still don't get that USSF is about making that money.
