So you just ignore any point I may have made because of my screen name?

How would we not have famine with no fuel to run the equipment currently needed to produce the food required to feed this world?

How would we not have a significantly higher amount of disease now that all of the sterile medical products and disposable medical devices can no longer be made of plastic? Did you even know plastics were made from petroleum products?

Now that we have no hydrocarbons to produce electricity, why wouldn't the world turn to coal? Hell we just had twonthreads this morning talking about our coal abundance/how bad retrieving and using said coal is.

How would a production economy such as china, Taiwan, India not suffer disproportionately now that 1.) their raw feed stock, plastics, is not available because any and all oil will be used for fuel and 2.) it costs significantly more, will take significantly longer, and be significantly less reliable to ship what they do make.

So before oil was discovered we didn't have war? Oh that's right we did. Only it involved no mechanized divisions because there was no fuel to power them.

Now that internal combustion engines are less and less common, you think people will still utilize them versus people to formerly manual jobs?

Ok, now explain to me how the quality of life would not suffer. Unless you think life in the 1800's was better
