Not to sound stupid...

but how safe are the full range of chemicals you suggest if we are on a well?

Can you list the use of any chemicals you would not use if on a well?(if any)

The only time I've ever heard of pesticides reaching groundwater was years back in Florida. Large number of golf courses, a shallow water table, and over-applying MSMA to the courses turned up traces in the well water. That's why MSMA was pulled from the turf market for a while, and may still be illegal in Florida.
