There were plenty and I mean plenty of people, even the pro analysts saying Fournette wouldn't be this impressive in the pro's and while at LSU because he was hurt, were saying he's overrated. The same crap I'm hearing about Guice from many of our fans, not saying you but Guice can be better in many areas and still not be as good as LF too.
Guice is a great back and will be but he's just not on LFs level, that has always been obvious. That doesn't mean that Guice isn't better in some key areas of a backs position. His start stop is better, his make you miss is better, his quickness is better, and I would say their vision is about the same. Fournette has him in power/speed combination by a mile and overall athletic ability for their size goes to LF as well.
LF has the best power moves by a long shot while Guice has better finess moves but Guice is still a great back in his own right. He's just not 100% nor does he have a pro OL blocking for him. Guice doesn't have the same offense to run in so it will affect him and how he looks as a back. They are just different but both are very good. I think Guice could use another year at LSU and if he would, he would likely have one of the best seasons at LSU next year. Our overall offense should be much stronger next year.
