Are you a dumbass? Or just never heard of a Tesla Coil?

He brought more innovation to electricity than Edison could have dreamed of. He is the reason you can post on this message board.

Sure there is. It’s called radio wave transmission and he abandoned it because it was pretty clear that it was inefficient for power transmission, he missed, or at least was not interested in, the fact that it could be used for sound transmittion. I’m sure Marconi was thankful.

He didn't get screwed by Edison either. He worked for Edison as an engineer then took his works to Westinghouse (some would argue illegally).

He didn’t get screwed by Edison, though Edison unsuccessfully attempted to torpedo AC as the primary form of power transmittion. Tesla left Edison because he Edison was not interested in AC power as much as DC power. It all boiled down to Tesla being more of a tech geek, in modern terms, and Edison (and Westinghouse, for that matter) being a highly technically skilled businessman. He did work for Edison, but whether his ideas while working for Edison were his property or Edison is debatable unless there was a contract for intellectual right regard work done while in Edison’s employ.

Tesla was an interesting man was a sort of electrical savant, or at least an AC savant, who probably sped up certain aspects of our electrical understanding by years, if not decade. You are correct, though, that their is an almost tin foil hat type of cult that has grown up around his supposed accomplishments.

Tesla was way ahead of his time. The materials to do what he needed to do weren’t even in existence yet. Consequently, he had to waste so much productive time creating materials to get the job done.

Who knows what else he would have done had the Russian’s not killed him.

He did have a problem with feeding the pigeons, however.
