Think about how miserable one must be to wake up every day and be perpetually offended at things that have nothing to do with your daily life, such as statues, school names, mascots and statements made by people you don't know that are a world away. They live a humorless existence where disapproval or disagreement amounts to apostasy or blasphemy. Authoritarians generally aren't happy people.
