I'll be fine with either candidate as you can make a strong case for both. Fans saying that one was way better than the other are homers and nothing more. This is a close race.

Judge sucked for more games than Trout was hurt. The only statistic that people use for Judge that judge has a better numbers than Trout in is home runs. Trout has higher OBP slugging ops doubles.
The argument then goes to "Trout was hurt" well Trout played in 114 games. Judge played in 155 if you subtract the 55 games that he was hurting his team by being in the lineup (which is what people do when they compare Judge to Altuve) then Trout=Judge in season played
