Ok I'll start. My parents are flying MSY-ATL-CDG on Tuesday. If this thing blows through on Sunday, I'd think things would be back to normal by Tuesday, right?

Son has a Sunday morning flight on United from MSY to DEN leaving at 8:32am ( UA295 ), hope to have a waiver issued before to late Saturday night. Will be at wedding.

Depends on the power situation. If this thing knocks out power, then we'll have some issues getting everything back up and running in the area. Doesn't look like the flooding would be too bad, just the storm surge?

I am fairly sure that they'll have one either today or tomorrow and definitely by Saturday.

I’m flying Southwest MSY-MCI on Sunday 8:55pm. What should I do if/when a waiver is issued?
Posted on 10/5/17 at 11:56 am to shimanocurado
Yeah my wife is flying home to MSY on Sunday morning. I'm assuming that isn't happening.

Switch to Saturday or Monday night is my suggestion. Only problem with monday is we don't know what the effects of the storm will be (power outages, flooded roads, etc.)

If you want her to get back earlier, suggest saturday. If you need a few extra days alone, monday or tuesday...

She can't come back on Saturday as this is a business trip. So she will be coming back on Monday or Tuesday I imagine.

Cuse, Monday morning flights out of MSY should be ok?

Outbound flight at 7:45 am

Hopefully the storm moves through faster than expected so your inbound sunday night can get in, if it doesn't I have a bad feeling this will likely be cancelled
As an update, the awesome delta agent here changed my ticket from monday morning back to msy to monday afternoon despite there not being a waiver. So if you're leaving from MSY this weekend, try and change your ticket with a check-in agent rather than calling. They have a lot more flexibility

Supposed to be the BA flight tomorrow landing at MSY at 7p. Just got off the phone with BA and the flight's still on as scheduled. Also said the next flight with availability isn't until Monday and there's only 3 seats left. Wondering if I should should just make the call now and get switched on the Monday flight or wait it out tomorrow. Cuse, thoughts?
