Doug Moreau- All American WR at LSU 1962: LSU 9-1-1 / 1963 LSU 7-4/ 1964 LSU 8-2-1/ Played for Miami Dolphins; graduated LSU law school/ State District Judge/ EBR District Attorney/ He has always demanded excellence from Asst DAs; knows how to teach, guide, and LEAD, one of toughest jobs in the world-- prosecuting criminals/ Was a tough judge who ran a tight ship/ DOESN'T GET FRUSTRATED UNDER PRESSURE/ doesn't cave in to pressure/ knows how to cut deals/ Loves LSU/Knows football. . . . Knows CONTRACT LAW, . . wouldn't make ridiculous DEALS, . . . like Bob Brodhead, he would DEMAND hard working and intelligent coaches, no matter how famous. When Bob hired Bill Arnsparger, announcing him as one of the most brilliant minds in football, he also stated "if he doesn't get the job done, we will find someone else who will"-- thats the kinda AD Judge Moreau would be. He don't take crap from no one-- believe that.

What about his accent though?

That information is crucial.

Not no, but hell no! He’s widely regarded as being one of the “good ole boys” and the last thing LSU needs is one of those running the athletic department. Bring back Dan R. or Herb V. We need an AD who will be aggressive and look after LSU’s best interests. While he’s at it, stop the process of nickel and dimeing the fans for every little thing. LSU’s football game day experience has really suffered under Alleva.

Doug is 72 - this is a younger man's game, I would think. Doug is the same age as Skip was, when Skip retired from the AD position.

My #1 candidate is Chris Del Conte (TCU) - 5 COY hires at 5 different sports. I'm telling anyone who will listen - this is the best AD in America, if your goal is to identify, hire and deploy coaches.

But has Moreau ever tried to ruin the lives of college kids to white knight for a lying crack whore? Bc that's the leadership LSU looks for.

Should've been the choice over Alleva when Skip retired in the first place.

Might be too old at this point.

10 years ago, Moreau would have been an excellent choice. I think he probably enjoys his retirement way too much to jump into the clusterfrick that this has become.
