“I think it’s disrespectful. I think it’s absurd,” LaCouture said in a passionate defense of his coach. “Coach O is a guy that has put everything into this football program. You can’t blame him. It’s us. We didn’t execute. He had a great game plan for us this week. I wouldn’t want anybody to (blame Orgeron). Blame it on us. It’s us.

“Me being one of the leaders on the team, I didn’t help prepare the team well enough to make sure we were good to go. I feel like when people say things like that it hurts us as a team. We feel bad for Coach O because he does not deserve that at all.”

Lac showed more class and tact in one quote than the man he is defending has shown in his entire career. It's a shame the players don't have a more deserving man to stand up for, but what else are they going to say?

Unfortunately the powers that be used these kid's loyalty last year in answering questions on behalf of a guy that they literally had to praise when asked last year to sell this as what they wanted. Another Ponamsky special executed by the media by sticking microphones and cameras in their faces asking them what they think about O as permanent coach. Again, what else were they supposed to do other than say yeah he's great, we love him, he's literally ONE OF US?

Honestly, I'd take Lac as a player/coach over O right now.
