There really aren't "bad" teams in the NFL.
I disagree. The Colts are about as bad as you can get. Even with Luck their playoff chances were nil. The Browns have been bad for a long time. Some teams stay in the cellar year after year. Any given Sunday a bottom feeder could beat a decent team. But it doesnt mean much. You cant put weight on that. The schedule plays a big part in how teams will do.
The schedule makers can make it hard on a team or easy on a team. Look at the Pats first 4 games last year for example. Look at our first 2 games this year. Thats by design because if we played the Colts and Browns first we would have started out at worst 1-1. Instead we get Monday night vs Vikings in Minny, NE at home while they played the Thursday game, road game in Carolina, and then fly to London. Thats a shite schedule to start with and its not some guy throwing darts at a board. This is all well thought out before hand.
Some teams fly more miles in a season than 3 or more other teams combined. Its ridiculous at times.

for some reason the Browns have usually had our number. I know the Saints won the 2006 opener @ Cleveland but the Saints lost a home game to them in 2010 when CLE came inot the game with only 1 win on the year. Then we lost to them again in Week 2 of the 2014 season.
we've had shitty losses to teams like the Rams in 2011 that altered our season. I know its not an every year thing but some lay up games we've had even when we were a good team haven't panned out.

Miami had its first game postponed then flew out to L.A. the next week. Then a trip up to the Meadowlands to play the Jets. Then a long jet lag trip to London.
I hear you but Miami has had a shite end of the stick of the stick as far as traveling goes to start the year.
