A 76 is one bad swing, maybe a few missed putts for par, the whole day. It's not perfect, but a 22 ain't gonna have multiple rounds like that.

I had a partner in a member/member once, legit 15 handicap shoot a 77 in better ball on a 74.5/138 slope course. Needless to say we took the Calcutta. No one really bitched because he plays there every weekend and never shot that before or since 15 years later.
