Troy was the most embarrassing loss during my fanhood, but not close to most upsetting

Anyone else in a similar situation? I'm 27. I don't have many memories or a frame of reference to make valid opinions of the 90's, I was too young to understand. So during the years I can really understand what's going on, losing to Troy at home is the most embarrassing. And yet, I was telling a buddy that I don't think it comes close to one of the top ten losses that was upsetting to me.

It wasn't a shocking loss- that's what is disturbing. You could see the decline of this program from Miles staying on too long, to the abortion of a subsequent coaching search, to the performances under O this season against MSU and Cuse. I've just become numb to the mess. It's sad. We need a change. Ten years ago I couldn't imagine feeling like this after such a loss but that's where Joe has brought the program to.

I've never felt it did any good to stop supporting lsu. Stop going to games, etc. But in this case it really does. The responsibility for the state of the current program lies directly on Joe Alleva's shoulders. This administration needs to feel the wrath of the fanbase. That this isn't okay. The stadium should be empty the rest of the year. The Board needs to start seeing that this isn't acceptable, because I'm not sure how much they care about wins and losses as long as they're selling out the stadium and taking in the money. I hope the stadium is empty the rest of the way. I hope we get mocked with pictures of an empty stadium. We need to become an embarrassment and take a financial hit to wake up the board.

This doesn't make me a bad fan. It isn't our responsibility to support the team, no matter what. We can demand a certain level of a product, and when we don't get it- we have the right to say this isn't good enough and I won't support it. That isn't some entitled position to take either. The season ticket prices, TAF fees, etc. set by the administration themselves are essentially a contract between the two of us saying we will have a product of a certain level. And when that level of product is completely underwhelming, appropriate changes should be made. When those changes aren't made in the appropriate manner, and decisions are made (like hiring O) to essentially stay in a mediocre state, then it's time we say "No, this isn't good enough and it isn't acceptable."

You aren't alone. Alleva and company single handedly broke this fanbase. We expect failure.
