Mike Allen of Axios further reported this week that Trump has been “physically mocking” the thumbs-down gesture McCain used to deliver the deciding vote against the Republican health-care bill in July. Did that mocking involve an imitation of McCain’s stiff arm movements? In case you haven’t read a newspaper in the 45 years since we played on the same Dixie Youth Baseball team together, McCain got the hell beaten out of him by the communists who held him in the Hanoi Hilton for more than five years.
At that same time, Trump was dodging the draft by claiming that bone spurs stopped him from serving his country in uniform. And yet this crippling condition didn’t stop the spoiled Ivy League student from playing football, tennis and golf. After four draft deferments, Trump graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 on the same day 40 U.S. servicemen were killed in Vietnam.

Well John McCain served and killed more Americans than he did NVA's
Net positive for Trump.
Net positive for Trump.

The fall after he graduated, Trump was granted a 1-Y medical deferment due to a foot condition.

Bone spurs don't have to be crippling. Bone spurs are a reason military service can be denied (like many other seemingly trivial issues). Many people plays sports with bone spurs, I have. This article is full of sarcastic and derogatory adjectives.

quote:
A bone spur (osteophyte) is a bony growth formed on normal bone. Most people think of something sharp when they think of a "spur," but a bone spur is just extra bone
quote:
Many people have bone spurs without ever knowing it, because most bone spurs cause no symptoms.
quote:
A bone spur is usually visible on an X-ray. But since most bone spurs do not cause problems, it would be unusual to take an X-ray just to see whether you have a bone spur. If you had an X-ray to evaluate one of the problems associated with bone spurs, such as arthritis, bone spurs would be visible on that X-ray.
So yes, trump used bone spurs to decline the draft process. There was a way out, he used it. But once again:

He used it, why does it have to be fake though?
