I find it funny when people don't know jack shite about use of force and talk out their arse.
Size, gender, age, etc. definitely play a part in the amount of force an officer will and can use... if a regular sized officer is taking on a 6'5" 275lb guy and would normally use hard empty hand control, but he reasonable believes he couldn't control the subject and goes a step up to intermediate weapons, it is justified.
But, someone like you would see it as "excessive force".
