Anyone Been to Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks?

My brother and I are flying into Vegas and road tripping back to Montana and I want to check out the Sierras, so Sequoia and Kings Canyon were on my radar.
Any recommendations? Worth the visit in late-October? I plan on doing Moro Rock, Big Trees, and Congress.

Yes, went to both back in early September, 1994.
Great trip.
I do wonder a bit about the weather conditions in late October. You probably will still be okay, but you might want to do a bit of research on that.
In your favor, I'm guessing the crowds will be considerably smaller in late October.

How long are you planning on staying? Are you just sticking to those areas? Closer to Reno is great too. If you hit those areas, there are good spots on your way back to check out.
Confused as to why you would go west of Vegas to go to Montana? I assume just to check out the National Parks there? I’d rather check out some new places along the way to Montana. Personal preference though.
