Yeah, I have no issues with them making it a close range weapon at all... Smg's should melt at close range, but drop off very quickly

I am not arguing either way. Just pointing out that the stats don't include bloom. Which is a huge factor in a gun. So if that is true, then yes, they did remove the better gun.
