I have never understood protesting the national anthem. If you don't like America, move. There's plenty of land to buy up in Canada. Yes, our president is an idiot but that doesn't make it right to disgrace our flag, the military and our freedom.

Why is this some people's first reaction towards anyone that criticizes the United States?

You can be disappointed in your job, you're not going to quit. You can be disappointed in your children, you're not going to give them up for adoption. Saying someone should leave the country because they're disappointed in some quality of the country is just such a tremendous, irrational leap in logic.
