You are basically paying people willing to give up their bodies to fight cage match style.
We know the outcome of prolonged NFL play.
It is basically high level paid bum fighting
Hottest take of my life

You sound like someone who doesn't like sports. I like football because I like the game and its entertaining to watch. I don't think like this.. "oh I'm totally paying to see some guys get brain damage, what bunch of idiots ha! it'll be awesome"- That would be a really shitty way of thinking about the game I love.

And when the bums can't fight any longer, we call for the next man up, throwing them on the trash heap of life where they belong. I don't care about them.

Whether you think it or not mathematically speaking your paying some poor baw to hurt himself for a lifetime.
I am going to pretend this isn't bad for the player isn't plausible deniability

Correction: paying some well paid baw to hurt himself for a lifetime. NFL anyways.

I still don't feel bad. They know the risks, and they're being paid millions. I feel no moral wrong doing.

Also it allows some of these poor disadvantage kids to think sports are a way out of the ghetto and they don't focus on school

This the argument against fans who are upset about kneeling

quote:Ultimately this is what will kill football--at least as we know it. I know more than a few of old-school traditional guys who aren't letting their sons get involved in the game. And I'm talking guys who are big-time football fans. Football at the college and professional level is already justifiably going softer due to grievous injuries, and the CTE scandal isn't going away. As more guys age out and the testing becomes more precise, expect numbers of diagnosed cases to balloon.

Have you heard some of these players talk? Do they really know risk? It's like sending a retard to the electric chair

Kneeling might have saved Kappernick life

HS participation is down - it is dying

Speaking only for myself, I just don't have a lotta things to get motivated about or enjoy in this world. I love my football on Saturday and Sunday and I'm not giving it up.

I feel bad for the older generation of players who didn't know how bad it is, and they played without the rule changes and concussion protocols of today. In the end I don't feel any moral guilt though, I believe the sport of football has helped more people than its hurt.

You think targeting changes are enough
Posted on 9/24/17 at 8:56 pm to thelawnwranglers
I mean no, but there is only so much you can do without getting rid of the game, and I think they've done a better job protecting now-a-days players compared to back in the day.
