That's not what the anthem does at all. Now if they didn't show up for a Memorial Day game... then you would have an argument. The anthem is about the country, not the soldiers. It was written for the country (by a guy who was being held captive on a British naval ship who was inspired after seeing a fort still standing after being bombarded by cannon fire all night. It was to pay homage to the strength of the nation)

Actually last night I claimed that guice and KEY hadn't contributed nearly to their status this year.
As far as this bs kneeling and boycotting has zero to do with race, but disrespecting the country that gave the guys these great opportunities. Spew your garbage, but if you don't respect the anthem then get the hell out of our country.

Or are you referring to the killing of cops that is statistically lower than it was 40 years ago? It has risen over the past few years from what it was like 5 years ago, but statistically it is still lower than it was 40 years ago. In fact, it was on a steady decline after the early 80s up until around 2013 when there was a small spike. The years between 1975 and 1980 had the most cops killed in the line of duty.
