It's no different than the football players who graduate early and enroll. Barash the C did it for LSU baseball several years ago but left to attend JUCO and finished up at A&M.
Only negative for baseball players is they pull themselves out of draft but it starts the clock ticking earlier for being eligible out of college.
Marceaux stock blew up like Enlow did vs learning under Dunn which might get you to majors quicker like it did with Nola, Gausmann and soon to be Hess who is draft eligible after his soph year due to age.
It would be a huge get and keeping him out of draft and he could help right away. LSU will likely lose a player due to playing time after fall ball anyway.
I know the Walker injury doesn't count against LSU 35 man roster. LSU is right at 35 now. If another player got injured which could happen with a pitcher not sure how many you can not count against roster as injured.

Well he’s pitching for Destrehan now and lighting it up. He will be great in purple and gold
