Always good to hire a 60 year old retired coach to bring your football team back to national prominence

Maybe Steve Spurrier wants to return to coaching.

Kansas St did it. Snyder was 65 when he left K St. Came back at 69 and in his 3rd hear they went 10-3 (they had back to back 5-7 seasons before he came back). He then went 11-2 the next year with a Heisman contender at QB.

Stoops was an old defensive coach, he developed the love for a wide open pass offense before he went to Oklahoma. I bet LSU would have their best passing season that they've ever had, in his first year.

I'd rather go younger (Gundy, Mullen, Feunte, Taggart, Brohm if he continues to do good, Chad Morris, etc), but I'd still take him in a heartbeat.
