A 14 seer is much more efficient than what I had. BUT the newer variable speed motors that are like 22 seer are much more efficient. You're gonna pay for it though. I put that American standard 14 seer 4 ton in my home with all new ducts and it cut my cleco bill from 380 to 200$ in summer. That's with 30+ yr old windows too.
