I'll second Munich...huge park w/ Englischergarten, laid back atmosphere, easy train trip to Salzburg (or Hallstatt if willing to go a bit further), Fussen/Tyrol, Neuschwanstein Castle near Schwangau, etc.
I'll also include the Interlaken area. Not saying you have to do adventurous stuff, but areas just south of there like Lauterbrunnen & Mürren offer short Alpine hikes with gorgeous weather that time of year. Those baby carrier satchel things might work well for that...or you can just chill and admire the mountain views.
