We lost by 30. It's not a fluke when you lose by 30. Do you think it was a fluke that will beat BYU by 27? Do you think they're actually better than us?

No we are better than BYU. MSU is better than us.

The post was not intended to argue who was better - MSU won big and obviously played better, had better players at some key positions, and more depth. But, to disregard the fact that LSU swung and missed at least 5-6 times on some big key plays on both sides of the ball is missing the reason we lost by 30. If the game goes to halftime with only a 6 point lead, I suspect MSU plays tighter to open the 2nd half and LSU plays with more energy and less panic. The whole game plan seemed to go out the window because of the 13 point lead - and again, don't dismiss the importance of our defense staying on the field for one more long drive that ended with a MSU TD with 10 seconds on the clock - total exhaustion and totally demoralizing. It may have been a Dumb and Dumber moment for a fan like me, but I thought LSU still had a "chance" if not for this.
