quote:What's funny is so often the same people making hte emotional pleas are the ones that cry "corporations aren't people!" Yet they expect those corporations to make financial decisions based on caring and compassionate emotional personas.
Emotional pleas and declarations of fairness are no way to make decisions for the vast majority of people in this country.
quote:PECs exlusons were a small minority. People hear the horror stories not realizing that they don't apply to employer-based plans.
The overwhelming majority are not affected by PEC clauses but the progs are using PECs to create fear and confusion to get their way.
And further, pre-Obamacare one could still get coverages for everything other than PECs relatively cheap. Say you had a... neck injury... that was excluded from your current policy. BUT... Your policy would still covered you for liver cancer, a broken leg, and the like at actuarial-based (ie, cheap!) rates. That was a reasonable transaction for both participants. Of course, that's gone now, and we're bearing the burden across the board for it.
