The prison rates for black people and Hispanic people are the top two in the world and the rates for white people are tied for 9th highest in the world. I'd argue that there is a big problem with over-incarceration in the US.
It's a massive problem in my view.

Well, at least we are not a shite-hole.
I have been to shite-holes with much lower incarceration rates.

Over incarceration, really? We are either a nation of law and order or we're not. Representatives on both sides of the isle enacted these laws.
Are you suggesting we should not enforce our laws?
I would suggest that we have a lot of unlawful people relative to other countries. Or, our law enforcement system is more efficient.
Truth is, its really not that hard to go through life following the law. Most people accomplish this feat with exception of a traffic violation or some other minor offense.
This is the same as with guns. We don't have a gun problem, we have a people that use guns illegally problem.

Right on with the numbers. It's obvious that what we have is a major problem with minorities who can't conform to legal standards. 1 out of 6 black men will spend time in jail in their life time. 1 in 22 white men will do so. That's not because the justice system is racist my friend.

Hilarious, this is just as ridiculous as trying to pin privately owned prisons for the reason why so many people are locked up.
