Absolutely serious. Tenured professor's are by far the most arrogant, self centered bunch you can ever find.
Besides, what accountability would they have if they can never be fired.

Then you're a dumbass. All of us (PhD students) got excellent mentoring while there. Especially those of us working under tenured prof's. Non-tenured faculty worry so much about publishing and gaining tenure, they don't foster the growth of their students quite as well as tenured. We also collaborated with plenty of faculty in engineering and they were all great to work with. Again, maybe your adviser knew you were a dumbass and blew you off.

Kerry Sauley is a tenured professor and he is an absolute joy of a person to be around not to mention he is a worldclass instructor.

Lsu just has terrible professors. I got my bachelors at LSU and my masters at a top engineering program and the difference was night and day. Every few professors at LSU care.
